Mathematics and Oceans
Deadline: 15 June 2026. With three oceanic coastlines—Arctic, Atlantic, and Pacific—and the world’s longest coastline, alongside a highly dynamic mathematical community, Canada offers rich opportunities for disciplinary or interdisciplinary collaborations on the theme of mathematics for the ocean.
The international research laboratories CRM-CNRS, Takuvik, Takuvik, and PIMS-CNRS, with support from the CNRS Mission for Transverse Initiatives, are offering a two-week exploratory stay in Canada in the field of mathematics for the ocean to two mathematician, each affiliated with a CNRS-hosted joint research unit or research federation.
