Postes rouges : Hosting mathematicians from Canada in French laboratories
The Centre national de la recherche scientifique (CNRS) offers mathematicians working in an institution outside France the opportunity to spend three months in a laboratory in France between February 1, 2025 and November 30, 2025.
This stay is accompanied by financial support: travel, visa, accommodation and catering expenses for the duration of the stay.
Interested parties must first identify a laboratory in France that can host them, and contact a colleague with whom they can develop a research program during their stay. The list of laboratories is available on the Math in France website
Applications must be submitted to the management of the host laboratory in France. Members of PIMS or CRM partner universities can also apply to the PIMS-CNRS or CRM-CNRS management. The application will then be forwarded to the CNRS, which will make a selection from all the applications received.
The application must be written in French or English and contain:
- CV (with list of publications)
- A specific scientific project for the stay, mentioning the mathematician in France with whom the work will be carried out.
- Provisional dates of stay between February 1, 2025 and November 30, 2025.
- An invitation letter / copy of e-mail from the management of the host laboratory identified in France in a single PDF file
