The Émérillon Fund is designed to support emerging Franco-Québécois cooperation initiatives that arise mid-cycle, outside the official application period for calls for projects (notably the Samuel de Champlain program). However, collaborative projects must align with the priority themes of the calls and meet their eligibility criteria. Researchers who receive Émérillon funding commit to submitting a project to the Samuel de Champlain program during the biennium.

The Émérillon Fund supports research trips to Québec by French researchers. Travel expenses and per diem for five days are covered.

There is no official call for applications for this program. Requests may be submitted on a rolling basis, outside the Samuel de Champlain program’s application period.

More information is available on the website of the Consulate General of France in Québec.
