Deadline: June 15, 2025.

The Centre International de Rencontres Mathématiques (Cirm, Marseille, France) and the Centre de Recherches Mathématiques (CRM, Montreal, Quebec, Canada) have joined forces to offer the opportunity to organize Franco-Québécois mirror conferences.

A mirror conference is an event that takes place at two sites:

  • some of the participants are in residence at Cirm;
  • others are at the CRM.
    Some talks held at one center are broadcast live to the other. The event is expected to last about three days and involve around ten researchers on each side.

The host institute for each group will cover the accommodation costs of its guests, according to its own procedures.

A proposal for such an event should include:

  • the CVs of two main organizers (one affiliated with the CRM and the other with a laboratory in France);
  • a short scientific motivation text of approximately two pages;
  • a preliminary program listing the names of potential participants;
  • the planned dates for the event;
  • a provisional budget.

The proposal must be submitted to crmfrance@crm.umontreal.ca and to colloque@cirm-math.fr by one member of the team, who will act as the project’s coordinator.

Deadlines each year: June 15 for programs starting on or after October 15.
