Stays in France, 2 to 3 months

General Description
An open call is available for any mathematician currently working abroad who wishes to undertake a stay in France:
- in collaboration with a project co-leader within the host French laboratory;
- for a duration of two to three months;
- between February 1, 2027, and November 30, 2027.
This call, referred to as the “red posts call,” is opened by the National Institute of Mathematical Sciences and Their Interactions of CNRS.
Stays will be funded by reimbursement of expenses up to a maximum of €3,000/month or possibly (for three-month contracts) by establishing a work contract with a salary calculated based on the status equivalence set up by the regional delegations of CNRS.
Application Procedure
Application File Composition
The application file must contain:
- A specific scientific project for the stay (maximum 2-3 pages) mentioning at least one person serving as a scientific co-leader in the host laboratory;
- A Curriculum Vitae (with a list of publications from the last 5 years) that must include the date of birth;
- A mention of the provisional dates for the stay lasting 2 or 3 months between February 1, 2027, and November 30, 2027;
- A letter or copy of an invitation email from the management of the host laboratory, provisionally confirming the hosting and its terms in case of selection.
File Submission
The file must be submitted:
- no later than September 24, 2026;
- to the director of the host laboratory in France;
- to the director of the international laboratory to which the candidate from Canada is affiliated (Ozgür Yilmaz for PIMS-CNRS, Emmanuel Royer for CRM-CNRS).
